Distorted - First demo of my whole kontakt library

Hello all,

okay i hope i don't spam around here but finally i have the first demo ready for my guitar library which will take care about brute and nasty guitar sound. also it is dropped down til A, so you could go down deep with the notes

here is some info about the lib itself
i have sustained samples with slides up and down into the chords, open and stopped staccato notes.

also i did a program which i call the "fretnoise connector".
it is basically a little program in Kontakt which allows you to copy your finished sustain track to another miditrack and have fretnoise in the exact same place like you did the sustain notes. then you can delete just the notes you don't want to have with addition noise etc

also there is fx samples, which is like slides down and up, chops and dead note staccatos etc.

the whole library is around 230 MB and hope that i will make it sometime next week to get it into my little webshop which will be also online then hopefully.

okay, enough dumbtalk, here is the demo with all the stuff. i turned the guitars up a lot so i hope this demo is true and shows what it can do and NOT. all in all we still hear samples, so it is not a real guitar and people who buy libraries, know that a sample lib will never sound real.

so didn't want to hide the stuff behind lots of keys, more loops etc, it is just drums, bass & guitar Smile

the price for the Kontakt 2 library (programs will only run in K2, but i am already on it, to find a resolution to also have K1 programs ready soon) will be 69€ or 74$.

hi, i dunno whats wrong. i can access it without problems.

@matt: if you know the monster guitar library which is very brilliant and cool, costs 49$ but it has just 99MB and doesnt have a lot of articulations. i calculated that i can charge 74$, because i have 230Mb (something 2,5 times more) and a lot of more articulations incl the fretnoise connector and legatoslides for connecting chords. so i kinda think that the price is okay ...

It wasn't a criticism but more of a friendly observation. 230MB @ $75 VS. 4 GB for $75 more with Bella's LD1. However, I'm sure I'll pick them both up before spending tons of cash on LPC. That's overkill for me.

Pretty good sound at a reasonable price I'd say.
Nothing for me though, being a guitar player myself - so, my advice would be: DON'T buy it, you'll make me lose my job(s)!

@sascha: hehe, yes, what should i say , but seriously tho, i sell this library for people who need guitars out of the pocket. sometimes a session has to go fast, you need some cool and inspiring licks to start work and there we go. (i know you had a smiley and it was more or less a joke from you, but that's a good point anyway)

i think if somebody wants to have a real guitar player and the budget is there he will get one, because there is nothing that beats the real thing ..uhm guitar player

i really don't want to sound like the typical salesman but i am guitarplayer myself so i recorded this library and i know what i did,i know what this lib can do and what NOT.

i would never promise that this library will substitude a real guitar player made of flesh and bone, but let's say i did my best in terms of legato playing, alternating staccatos etc, connected to a brute and nasty sound - so you are at least able to get a good wall of guitars for your upcoming sessions, projects and whatever.

i will still go on and develop more stuff for the library like add ons. my main point on this whole project was to create licks, just tons of real played licks because nothing beats the real thing of course ... and in real played licks you definitely still have the "soul" or "feeling" of the guitar player. the only disadvantage you have with licks, is that you kinda tied to what the guitarist played.

so to really make the decision easy i did both the library for kontakt 2 and the first few licks, which are also available as a package of 10 licks in the store.

@fritzman: i would like to say this much that i didnt use real amps, but a combination of a lot of software stuff. i took the best out of each software, combined the tracks all togteher to one monotrack and recorded every lick and sample twice (for the individual stereo panning)
i did a lot of research and i like hardcore and metal bands since ever, so i know how the amps and guitars sound like. also i play guitar for about 16 years now, did a lot of touring, played nearly every guitar over every amp and the result of this library is my definition of a big phat hardcore sound.

i know that a lot of people will maybe shake their heads now, but i personally think it doesn't matter if its analog or digital. what counts is a big phat sound which just gives you some brick wall powerchords

the guitar i used is a gibson epiphone with 11 on 70 strings for the big punch (ghs zakk wylde edition)

Hi Alex,

yes, it definitely sounds good. I'm not a hardware freak, software can sound reasonably good also. There are not many tube amps out there that do sound as good or better than your software mixture.
I use the same strings for dropped tuning, good choice.

hey fritzman, yeh you right, i heard so many amps over different microphones, played with different guitars and heard so many records. i really know there isn't much difference, ... if any. sure, amps sound different, but better?
