fruity phaser / flanger / chorus question....

how do i get any of these effects to retrigger every time there is a drum hit or whatever? - rather than a constant global setting?

Some phaser/flanger/chorus plugins can be triggered by MIDI, so if your drum hits are controlled by MIDI, you could use the same MIDI output to trigger the effects plugin as well. Alternatively, you could use the envelope follower which many plugins have as an option. In this case, you use the audio from the drum hits to trigger the effect.
