Feh. I disapprove of those johnny-come-lately, flash-in-the-pan formats, and publish only on genuine Edison cylinders and REAL paper piano rolls of which sequencers can offer only pale imitations.

Wait until the atomic wars and the EMPs that will destroy all non-hardened solid state electronics -- then we'll see whose music can still be played. *nodnod*
My PC is in a lead lined case. But I would like to develop a wax cylinder phrase sampler- it would sound 30% more analog than vinyl.

Sounds good, S_A_P -- but remember that those "lead synth" patches aren't what they seem.

In answer to the orignal question...no.

Orion Pro
Acid Pro 5

Fading out Orion nowadays and trying to move to wholly Acid Pro
Would also be lost with Reaktor, but, errr.... that's not a host :dog: :hihi:

If it's not too late for me to throw down my list:

Often used:
1. Sonar 4
2. FLStudio

Sometimes used:
3. Project 5 v.2
4. Synth Edit

Almost never used:
5. Tracktion
6. Acid Pro 4

Everyting done in SX, one and only host in use here.

Have danced a bit with Tracktion and Live in the past but just couldnt get used to em. Set in my ways to much, used SX (Cubase) to much, to long now..

NO....I'm a solid monagamist...but lately I've had wandering eyes.....

I did start out with DP3 on a Mac G4, but we were only dating, so it only went so far as some heavy petting. She wasn't doing it for me so I jumped ship when this SX'y thing came along  and I've been faithful to her only ever since.

But lately, I've been wondering what I might be missing just sticking with one host, so I've been thinking of seeing another one, maybe to learn some new tricks (Ways of thinking and doing things. I've read commentary here at KVR on how a host can affect the kind of material you output)....But I can't make up my mind on which one. I've somewhat narrowed it down between Live and Tracktion. Tracktion would be a lot cheaper, although Live is getting more buzz ATM.

Any advice to a wanna-be-whore on who to start seeing next? :hihi:

I'm not a host whore at all. I've only used FL Studio for the 2 years I've been making music; maybe I'll use Sonar in the near future but always combined with FL. FL is like second skin to me.
