Yeah, eagerly waiting for the KLC V2 (if there ever is going to be one). In the meantime, let's enjoy MDE-X and rest of the lovely Legacy Collection!
To me, the effects sound totally adequate - actually they sound very similar to the effects found in Korg Trinity (I used to own a TR-Rack).

The phaser and MS20 filter are phat, I will have to try out the ensemble if people are rating that as well, not too fussed with the rest.
The filter uses a ridiculous amount of cpu though so I cant really be asked with it.

i agree this works great for thick reverbsjmh wrote:I'd say so. Chaining together different reverbs tends to mask problems in each reverb nicely. Plus you'll get a little bit thicker sound, something different and new.
You should really try it, chaining together some of the simple free reverbs usually results in something rather good and useful

JMH
i think the phase information of the reflected sound is quite important for our brain to figure out depth, localization etc so it wont sound proper 3D like the high end reverbs like TC M6000, but it will sound very thick and good anyway

I just bought the Legacy Collection and I've never been happier with a purchase. I'm actually hooked on the less appreciated Polysix, probably because it reminds me of my first poly synth, the Poly61. I love the simplicity of the Polysix - very refreshing after being overwhelmed by other softsynth parameters. I like that it DOESN'T have a bunch of built in effects, but the Legacy Cell provides that option. I prefer hearing the straight synth sound before it is hidden in reverbs and delays. The Polysix and MS-20 have a wonderful hardware sound to me with analog subtleties lacking in many emulations.
I need to dig into the effects now that I've read the posts here - I certainly like the chorus/phase/ensemble in the Polysix.
I was just reading the manual for the Wavestation, and I'm inspired to try some programming with it. I agree with reviews that say the Wavestation alone justifies the price of the Legacy Collection.
Everyone go buy this so Korg will be motivated to continue down this software path!

Hello Abernathy!
As you are a new user to Korg Legacy Collection and seams a little bit interested of Wavestations possibilities I'll give you a link posted by Crimsontider in another forum
http://crimsontider.com/vsti/wavestation.zip
Download the file and you get hundreds of presets for your Wavestation. It's also possible to import sysex presets from the original Wavestation Hardware synth.
You can search the net for Wavestation patches and you will find hundreds!
