hmm, so we are saying the demo doesn't really allow a proper test? I'm just getting into the area of mastering, how would it compare (even if only on paper) with the Ozone3 compressor? (which I have). I also have PSP's vintage warmer & EQ, so I'm trying to figure if this might be a useful buy as I will get a 60% discount...

Personally I think a demo with fewer limitations would be more satisfactory for real world testing.ChamomileShark wrote:hmm, so we are saying the demo doesn't really allow a proper test?
However, you can certainly have a listen to the presets and make some adjustments to suit your material. This is allows a prospective user some idea of the sound quality on offer. I will spend some time with it and make up my own mind.

250$ just for a compressor? They're joking, right?

Why do I need this when I already own VintageWarmer and Crunchessor?

I have to say though that even with the limited demo it's pretty obvious that the PSP MasterComp is superb but this demo is driving me insane! They should atleast give us control of attack and release!

It just makes no sense.........it's an ugly version of the vintage warmer........that is supposed to be a compressor for mastering?
Man, it would have to knock the socks off ozone for this price..........

As far as I can't see you cannot "play with it." Several knobs do not work.
Either it is an error or it is intentional.
Either way, until it is a fully-functioning demo I am removing it from my machine.

IMHO it sounds absolutely nothing like vintage warmer. This one actually sounds good (I do NOT like vintage warmers sound nor compression at all). It seems to be able to pump a lot or be extremely gentle. Also, it has a rather good sounding upwards compression (expansion).eyeknow666 wrote:It just makes no sense.........it's an ugly version of the vintage warmer........that is supposed to be a compressor for mastering?

Also, it uses a hell of lot more resources than vintage warmer to get that sound - hit the fat button hear that great sound and watch cpu usage hit the roof. I think it basically for mastering rather than mixing if you are to get the best out of it.
