In search of a specific Portamento

Hi All,
I'm wondering if I have (shipped w/ Receptor) or if anyone knows of a Plug-In synth with a Portamento that I can set to play individual notes (not one smooth legato line) as it ascends or decends over 2 or 3 octaves.
Perhaps you're familiar with the effect, very much like the keyboard intro to the 1980 rock single 'Turn Me Loose' by Loverboy
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,

Thanks Robert, but I'm trying to copy the intro of that song ~ are you familiar with it?
If you could play it, my hats off to you!
I'm pretty sure it was a Porta-type effect on a Roland keyboard, I don't know which one.
So, that's what I'm hoping to find.
Any other ideas?
: )

My Guess
It could be a Pitch bend ( using an ENV Mod )that SOUNDS LIKE Portamento..lots of roland ( and Oberhiem) pads do this so..so thats my guess...and if so..EVE does it! and EVE comes with receptor.

Well that would be cool, but I've never heard a Pitch-Bend play separate individual notes.tconrardy wrote:My Guess

Do you know the song I'm referring to, Turn Me Loose?
I like EVE ~ I haven't really 'dug deep' into it (her?) yet.
I still think it's a Portamento setting that, as yet, I can't find.

Yes...thats what it does...it basically everytime you trigger a note, it produces a slight bend, and it sounds like portamento. Its in the middle of the EVE GUI..don't have it in front of me..so can't remeber what it's called..but I am sure that is the effect you are after.JayVee wrote:Well that would be cool, but I've never heard a Pitch-Bend play separate individual notes.tconrardy wrote:My Guess

"...everytime you trigger a note, it produces a slight bend..."
You're saying I can acheive this effect by hitting 1 note and Pitch-Bending it ~ I guess I'll look into this, in EVE.
Thanks!

... would be interested in a "universal" solution... what about a "usual" glissando over the keys with LEGATO-function enabled ?! that should do it ?!

no...its an "auto" pitch bend. Basically its an envelope moding the pitch..its right below the global LFO control. Every note you hit triggers this mod envelope and you get a "pitch bend, portamento" sound. Lots of roland and Oberhiem patches use this type of effect, which is why it's on EVE

Just FYI: found out he wants a Glissindo effect and Karnage does the job.
