BTW james0tucson I luv the tiny controls in FL mixer..looks sexy :hihi:
Comments like this seem pointless. I know quite a few Cubase, Sonar, PT users, and I've never been witness to them bashing FL... In fact, when we are selling software to someone who is obviously new to DAWs. We regularly suggest FL for its balance of power and ease-of-use.

I hear way more Cubase bashing than anything... Bugs, dongles, bad GUI, too complex, resource hog, yadda-yadda-yadda... All of which is just as unfounded as calling FL a toy...

Just my two cents.

Actually, according to Gol it isn't. It was dropped because there was no point in supporting skinnability due to no decent skins appearing. Or something like that :)

(And from what I've seen, the efforts some people have made and shown didn't exactly impress me...)

Wouldn't be bad if it was fully skinnable, but I really don't hold my breath as skinning the whole app with all the little details everywhere is a task most hobbyists seem incapable of doing :|

I would be happy if ImageLine could make at least ONE professional light-coloured skin for FLStudio.

not seen any FL bashing, Gol bashing is what I've seen lots of. Doesn't seem theres a problem with the product.

er... - what about Orion, what about Project5?

b.t.w.: I think this distinction between 'sequencer' and 'virtual studio' is old-fashioned - where do you see any clear differences?

Look, yeah who cares if you do your tracks on fl studio rather than cubase. i mean, tracks that ended in the charts were made with atari hooked up to 950s, with portastudios and whatever, i just personally started being very vague about my setup when asked what i use, well i'll only say it's just me in my bedroom, what do you care what stuff i got in there : )

The release date you can guarantee will be around the begining of December - just in time for Christmas!

Trioptic I'm not saying anything negative about skinning as such - pretty much everything possible on my machine is skinned so I have an overall unified look to things (based on a couple of sweet XP themes from DeviantArt :P) but I am saying that to date I have yet to see a nice 3rd party skin for FL. Same with the developer, hence he dropped the full skinnability.
