It's been great to meet KvRers and GPO users all over the world and now we can see where many users are. The Garritan GuestMap, by Google Maps, allows you to show where you are on the GuestMap and you can also leave a message. Users can click on other users markers and read their message.

If you are a GPO or GOS user (that includes KvR folks who bought in the GPO Group Buy and Finale 2006 users), go here to add yourself to the Garritan GuestMap and to leave a message.

When you get to the Garritan GuestMap page:

1. Find your location on the map. You can use normal map, satellite map or hybrid view and can use the zoom scroller (on the left) if you like. You can also drag the map with your mouse to reposition it.
2. Click on your location. You'll see a pop-up box labeled "Place an icon."
3. You must fill in ALL of the fields, even if you have no message.
4. Click on the icon marker that you want to use.
5. Click the Place button.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on the GuestMap.

This is so cool. Thanks Gary. FYI I placed myself a little to far north of the island of Montreal.

You know you can zoom in until you see the actual house in satellite view?

why not a KvR Guest Map rather than a one product orientated one?

Whoopsie -- I noticed that not only is Oz missing in the map above, along with the rest of the Southern Hemisphere, so is 90% of China in the North...

But then, if you click on the link, you can go to the full map and it's all there ;)

But can you put yourself on the map if you don't use GPO? (I did... Rut Roh... :hihi: )

Not much orchestral stuff needed in africa it seems...
Btw, xander, you can scoll around in the map.

It's really neat to be able to zoom in and see your house on satellite view.

Ezy Ryder - Put on those shorts! The world is watching.

Over 200 people have made their whereabouts known on the GuestMap. It's only been a couple of days and looking forward to seeing some more people from around the world.

Thanks to all who are taking part.

Might want to send a boat after Chris. He's drifting over the Sohm Plain south of Nova Scotia. :hihi:

Would be cool as a KVR project, too. If there's any charge for this service, I'd be willing to chip in.

People! Zoom in before placing your icon.

Don't worry, Gary.
Even with some pranksters this is pretty cool!
