Hollow Sun NewTron in Kontakt 2......

The Hollow Sun 'NewTron' collection is now available in Kontakt 2 format.
These samples are largely regarded as the definitive and most authentic Mellotron samples available today and feature the most popular tape frames including:
* Choir (awesome, majestic and surreal)
* Violins (THE definitive Tron sound)
* Flutes (Yep - 'Strawberry Fields' and others)
* Mixed strings (cello and violins)
* Boys choir (rare)
* Brass
* 'Watcher' (a recreation of the classic Genesis sound)
All samples are seamlessly looped for infinite sustain (unlike the originals) but are otherwise unprocessed. Neither are they cleaned up or 'sanitised' in any way - these are the real deal straight from a real Tron.

Any chance of these in a format which can work easily with Wusikstation?

IIRC, Dash licensed the HollowSun sounds for Eve, which Wusikstation can play - http://www.dashsignature.com/products/d ... d/hqs4.htmMArmstrong wrote:Any chance of these in a format which can work easily with Wusikstation?
The other (more expensive) alternative is to buy this set in S6000 format and EXSC.

I think both available formats (Akai and Kontakt) contain the WAV-files, which can be converted to WusikStation with the conversion tools on the Wusik site.
The mp3's sounded very nice. Also check the FS1R collection for great sounds
!

I've had the Dash HQ FS1R (now called Ultimate FM) for a year or so. IIRC, those were programmed specifically for Dash, so I don't know how much they overlap.pschelfh wrote:Didn't know thatdougsyo wrote:Dash licensed the HollowSun sounds for Eve, which Wusikstation can play. Sorry... been away for a day or two.
In answer to one question.....
Yes - I licensed my Tron sounds to Luigi at DASH (nice guy ---- support him!) so they are available for EVE (and, I am led to understand WusikStation). Please see DASH's website for details:
http://www.dashsignature.com/products/d ... d/hqs4.htm
In answer to another question (how do they compare to M-Tron?).....
Not for me to say (I don't have M-Tron) except that mine are not sanitised or cleaned up in way - they're the real deal straight from a Tron - and my samples are seamlessly looped for infinite sustain.
Many of those that have bought my Tron CD have been ex-Tron owners and they proclaim them to be the most authentic Tron samples. See http://www.hollowsun.com/cds/rob_newtron.html
Recently, a customer (who has owned several Trons and has many different Tron samples) compared them and my collection stood out as the best he claims (no BS!)
And yes... the raw samples are WAVs and with one sample per note, they are child's play to map out to other sampler formats - no complex key mapping to figure out.
Go on... you know it makes sense

My FS1R collection is something else again and hasn't been licensed to Luigi/DASH.
