Supercollider. Can do just about everything, or so I'm told.
Takes a while to learn.

The sequencer on my Fantom X kicks everything elses arse *and* I don't worry about running out of CPU, the computer crashing, sound card screw-ups, etc. etc. etc.

There is no good music making software, that's an oxymoron!

I don't believe there is one.

I use Tracktion, Adobe Audition and Midisoft Studio and would be very annoyed if I had to do without any of them.

just like my amiga/atari setup... except i was 15.... can't do shit i can do today.... but wow.... hard and fun
