After careful consideration of your complaint and the operators response, it has been decided that no further action will be taken at this time. However, your correspondence will be kept on file and may be consulted again should further complaints be received.

guys you're making a big mistake:
you haven't realized that this thread is from may. The starter of it has already made his mind up quite some time ago. His preferences are the same as mine b.t.w.

Funny how a very old thread that already created sort of a small private flame war has become alive once again
Actually I did! I loved EXT so much so that I bought it after 2 days trial but for audio I got Podium and not by miracle but as a result of not being able to buy T2 here in Europe. I used to go by Germ777. Remeber? The Cheap guy who got flamed for loving the NFR T1 and asking for a way to upgrade to T2 thru the net?
This thread should be locked and buried as I gave up on trying to buy T2 about 2 months ago.
Thanks anyway for those who tried to help though

Well, the exercise wasn't completely futile-- I got a chuckle out of it.
Jens-- I wouldn't say his preferences are the same as yours! You'll note that he loved T1 and wanted to buy T2 but didn't due to a hassle, not due to hating it. On the other hand, he DID end up buying another program for audio rather than use eXT.
So quit that smug tongue-sticking-out, you!
Also, YOU seemed to be joining in, too, so it's not just everybody else that was making a mistake. Unless you were intentionally trying to bait people, in which you WERE trolling and I didn't have to pretend after all!

you know Greg, your posts are always lacking much information except quite a few insults here and there.Lunch Money wrote:[..]
My posts are always full of information and I can always back up my opinion about sequencers because my knowledge is so deep.
But still you are always calling me prejudiced and half-informed: When it comes to real knowledge about producing songs with sequencers (instead of big blabla without getting even slightly concrete..) I think you aren't even close to being a match for me. Also I have very often people here who I teach how to use sequencers from the very first beginning (because I love to do so...). I don't say this to insult or to ridicule you but just because your way of arguing is getting on my nerves. You say I am prejudiced and this is most probably true.
But true is also that I am still not half as prejudiced as you.
Fancy round two?

Hi,Kaos Axiom wrote:I´m looking for a good host to be used mainly for mixing audio tracks in a pc.
I want to stay away from Cubase as much as possible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

I've just discovered that Sony has released Acid Music Studio 6.0 (now, with VSTi support) for as little as US$ 69,95!!

I'm also a fan for energyXT!

"always"? Pfft. "insults"? Rarely. I'm sorry if you perceive me that way, truly I am-- I never meant to bruise any of your feelings; however, I think you'll find that the majority of my posts ARE helpful and contain much information, though those ones are usually kept in the Raw Materials forum because I am very aware of my own limitations.jens wrote:you know Greg, your posts are always lacking much information except quite a few insults here and there.
You know more than me, for sure... however, I wouldn't say they're always full of information. They're often full of half-baked opinion! My posts are always full of information and I can always back up my opinion about sequencers because my knowledge is so deep.
You are. Or more accurately, YOU are informed, but you only half-inform OTHER people. But still you are always calling me prejudiced and half-informed:
Agreed! When it comes to real knowledge about producing songs with sequencers (instead of big blabla without getting even slightly concrete..) I think you aren't even close to being a match for me.
I have been one of those students, and if my way of arguing isn't getting on your nerves too much, when eXT starts becoming more usable for audio, I'd like your help AGAIN some day. Also I have very often people here who I teach how to use sequencers from the very first beginning (because I love to do so...). I don't say this to insult or to ridicule you but just because your way of arguing is getting on my nerves. You say I am prejudiced and this is most probably true.

Jens, the reason you find my style of arguing to get on your nerves is because of the deftness at which I can find shortcomings in your logic. The real question is, what's round 2 supposed to be about? Isn't this match over? Should it have even begun? What's the point? What else was I going to say... hrm... there was something... Guess it wasn't all that important.Fancy round two?

but wait: SHORTCOMINGS IN MY LOGIC???
Greg, I'd love to help you getting your head around all the lovely new stuff in eXT...
oh, and please: if you still have those pm's could you maybe send them back to me? I just looked for them a few days ago becuse I wanted to add some of it to the Wiki but alas - I don't have them anymore...

No, I don't it seems. I suspected as much, actually, though I should have checked before getting your hopes up. I was pretty sure I remembered deleting them with my last major inbox purging because it occurred to me that eXT changes so much all the time that they might not even be accurate anymore.
Sorry!
No need to feel bad about anything, though-- I try not to take our occasional debates personally because I know that you're actually a good guy.

I gues it doesn't matter that much if the pm's are gone - I could write it again (I just don't remember all topics anymore) - I think it's a good practice...
luckily not too much has changed - I hate it when that happens - a few days ago I critiziced Jorgen harshly for changing an important shortcut
but anyway, most of the importants bits are implemented now and host of the previously cumbersome bits are ironed out now - also Jorgen has agreed that workflow/usability should have highest priority now...
add to this that the performance has increased dramatically and you should realize that a lot of fun is waiting for you!
oh and b.t.w.: I never doubted that you are a really good guy as well - it's just that we aren't the best possible combination for discussion of such kind...
