I'm using adobe audition and there are many different .wav files I can save a project as. Which one is best to use and would be most compatible with any sequencer/sampler/... ?
The choices are:
Windows PCM
Microsoft ADPCM
DVI/IMA ADPCM
ACM Waveform
A/mu-Law Wave
these are all called .wav but differ in some way and I don't know which one to use...
What kind of .wav file?

There shouldn't be much difference with ADPCM though, maybe a bit smaller files. I have no idea what the last three are.

People don't be silly, anything other than a Windows PCM file is a lossy [very] format - unsutable for any serious audio work. Just stick to Windows PCM format, be it 16bit, 24bit or even 32bit and everything wil be fine, and forget about the others, because you'll just get a distorted 8-bit sound or a mono sound with those, nothing else.
Cheers.
Cheers.
