how do i get any of these effects to retrigger every time there is a drum hit or whatever? - rather than a constant global setting?

thanks

I'm not sure you can, it's not the nature of the beast...tbh honest I never use fx in FL as I render tracks seperately and always dry, but I gotta go to the dr right now, when I get back I'll check it out...but I'm not sure that retriggering is possible with the FL effects...;)

I didn't want your thread to go without response...check back later this afternoon/evening (depending on where you are)... :)

btw if you're in a rush you might get a quicker answer at FL forums..;)

You could definitely do it using the keyboard controller as a sort of automation, but you'd have to program in where you wanted the effect to start and stop. I'd link the wet/dry knob to the keyboard controller via velocity, then just give it 100% velocity in piano roll where you want the effect and 0% where you don't. Don't forget to click "ghost channels" option in piano roll so you can see where your drum hit is.

You should be able to do this with the peak controller as well, and I think it is actually meant for this type of use, but I'm not as familiar with the peak controller as i am the other.

Check out the tutorials in Projects/Tutorials for setting them up.

you may want to read the help file regarding 'smart disable' ...

doesn't address 100% of your problem , but is a start ...

Look in your totorial files, a flp called 'Fruity peak controller'

or you could just render the sounds with the effect you want and then use it in a sampler channel

its all a bit long winded, i just wondered if there was a quick easy way of doing it.

why not just get a freeware VST with host syncable tempo?

Post

Because host syncable tempo doesn't make it retrigger on hit?

doh - I'm showing my ignorance, aren't I?
