Listen to this for a tale of how to really annoy someone.
I recently purcahsed an item from another forum and paid additional p + p to get the item delivered quicker.
Three days after said item was purchased, I get an email from seller saying that they have sold the one I was buying on ebay to someone else and that they are waiting for a new one to be delivered by jrrshop in a few days, at which point they will ship it out to me. Bear in mind that I had paid additional money to have it shipped to me immediately for delivery within 3-5 days.
When I expressed my displeasure at this, I was told 'what I am worrying about, it is only a few days delay and that he is paying the shipping from jrrshop (like I was supposed to or something) and that it should be with me in 4-6 weeks'. I paid for 3-5 days shipping.
I have requested my money back and informed them that if they don't then I will be taking action to recover it.
But as I said 'Caveat Emptor' - buyer beware.

"Caveat Emptor"....not necessarily.
Depends if this was a private or commercial transaction.
If it was private then yes the above applies
That is called deception, and is a criminal offence....even if it was a private sale.
If you paid by credit card you could cancell the transaction. When buying on line you have a 7 day cooling off period to cancell any order.
The extra money paid for urgent shipment formed part of the contract you made. Either that gets refunded or you cancell the order and get a complete refund.
Failing that embarass the bastard and give up his name.
You cant beat people up then have them say "I love you"

It was a private sale done through paypal - I have requested that he refund my money but he now appears to be ignoring my emails - as if I am going to disapear with over £500 of my money in his pocket. I think its time to get paypal involved to recover the money.
