I'm not primarily an electric guitarist, but after playing with this for a while, it seems you can get a good range of playable sounds and it feels pretty responsive. I like this one. :)

Nice freebie indeed.
Those knobs are very RGC looking.
Do the ones on the original operate backwards? :ud:

Another one ...... hmmmm
...after testing it I must say there are some better choices out there ( only couting 0$ ), but it has a unique sound which can be used, so thank you and keep them coming
:hihi: :hihi:

gui is nice but i fear it's just gonna sound like all other synthedit amps.

Same here.

Just been trying it, and im not impressed. GUI is too big, no need for the speaker really. Knobs spin way too easily, and the sound is not good.

Oh well.

Ampsims everywhere!

I think my bases are taken care of with NI Guitar Combos. Especially the AC Box! Beautiful...

Guitar Rig seems too indepth for me. All I want to do is plug and play! I can do that with Guitar Combos, and I can't really fault the sound quality... only my lack of skills 'n chops... :(

EDIT: But I will try this one out! It looks kinda cool.

just making sure people realise:

ampsim doesn't necissarily mean "distortion vsti." Some amps can be pushed to get a heavily distorted tone alone, others can't without the help of a pedal.

If you want "normal" guitarlike drive, try putting a synth through a pedal sim like simulanalog, then placing the amp after that. It really adds warmth to the tone, which is the idea of the "amp sim" part of an amp simulator.

I personally like the sound; it adds lots of nice lower mid and low frequency harmonics.

It is best to try these amp sims with a real guitar. I'll give it whirl tonight.
