can you clarify a little for me? i have never heard the term "scanner" before. by vibrato, do you mean the small repeating variances in pitch done intentionally and exemplified by vocals/singers/singing? or more like tremelo, where the volume is simply modulated up & down regularly?

The term 'scanner' i think was applied to the early Hammond organ vibrato/Celeste electromechanical device. It was basically a vibrato caused by rotating capacitors or something, and the Celeste options mixed the vibrato sound with the dry, to create a chorus type sound.

Plenty of VST plugins get similar sounds. The freebie Phaser, Flanger and Chorus from www.kjaerhus.com are worth investigating. Set to 100% wet for just the vibrato sound. The commercial version - Golden Modulator is my choice, as it does all of these and more.

You may want to try NuBi's replacement "ToneWhls" -- BTW, I added release click to this one just for you
