:hihi:

Well, the beauty is that you can make the effect as horrible or as subtle as you want, depending on time spent. ;)

is there a vst version of this

ROnC

Post

There's no pure VST version available. The plug-in is a Pluggo derivative and therefore requires the user to have the Pluggo Runtime installed. For related reasons completely beyond our control, you also need Quicktime installed. It IS a VST (not a "pluggo", although it uses the runtime) already, but there are certain restrictions upon the way it can be installed.

It is recognized as a VST and will work in any host that supports VST. During operation, though, it makes calls to the Pluggo and Quicktime libraries.

It only takes a minute, but if those things go against your philosophy on configuring a DAW, you're best to not even bother with this plug-in. If, however, simplified pitch correction is something you still need or want in your host, by all means install and enjoy!

For those unwilling to download the pluggo runtimes, you may want to give Graham Yeadon's gsnap beta for pitch correction a try. I haven't tried it yet, but it's here if you want to.

What did ever happen to Cartoon for Mac OS X?

Post

Never got made, AFAIK. Not sure what happened with Kim's pluggo efforts, actually! Probably on the back burner somewhere.

Cartoon is stalled indefinitely. I suggest the excellent GSnap. :-)

I don't know of any free pitch correction plugins for Mac, sorry.

Forever,

Kim.

The notion of "Forever" has an impedance mismatch with the internet, I guess.

The only things that actually last forever on the internet are the pictures your roommate took in your dorm room.
