Waves Platinum or Voxengo Plugs and a computer upgrade?

One would be hard pressed to find an individual of a certain age and social bracket, who was *not* knowledgeable in this area.kevvvvv wrote: And he has a reasonably detailed knowledge of different hip hop styles.

the problem is to a great degree enhanced by using compression and eq - it's not only the singer's fault...defjamm wrote:there are great singers who have a natural problem with their esses.james0tucson wrote:It's no substitute for good vocal technique. I'm sure this boy is far from ever having had any customer and if so I feel very sorry for the customer -
He only has one middling computer running an Audigy card. I would find it impossible to run a pro studio on such little gear.
OTOH his software list includes a lot of synths - inc Sonar and Project 5.
And he has a reasonably detailed knowledge of different hip hop styles.
So while being a pro studio owner sounds out of the question, having a few mates around to record doesn't sound unreasonable.
jens - point taken
I myself looked up a few older posts of him now and to my astonishment and enjoyment I found out that I am very consistent in my way of dealing with him

And no you cant have everything every which way , but then agian you didnt clairify which way , you just said Sonar4 couldnt do it and I proved you wrong.
And I have confirmed that this is possible already in the third post of this thread!
Do you have anything useful to add to this information?
No?
Then why bothering us anyway?
Didn't your mother teach you not to interrupt adults if they are leading serious conversations?

that's true, especially today where the engineers aim for a very bright sound and the music is heavily compressed.jens wrote:the problem is to a great degree enhanced by using compression and eq - it's not only the singer's fault...defjamm wrote:there are great singers who have a natural problem with their esses.james0tucson wrote:It's no substitute for good vocal technique.
Sorry for the german.

Those who can do maths and those who can't.

yes indeed, sorry for the German...

Stairsteps wrote:Now that I know you would recomend that a person edit the Sss by lowering there volume I know your not even in the ballpark on knowing what to do with that situation.

It's actually been around for a very long time, originally owned and developed by Ultrafunk (www.ultrafunk.com). Cakewalk bought it out as an add-on to Sonar pro edition (I use Cubase), but also has it for sale seperately.james0tucson wrote:Your message was the first I ever heard of this product.fizbin wrote: Anyone needing a complete basic set of full-featured plugs that didn't grab those really missed out.
Seems it's the merchant who "missed out" by failing to reach me, the prospective customer. Now that I know the correct price on the product, if it's being offered at a higher price, why would it interest me now?
Perhaps you need to get on the Cakewalk mailing list? Not sure, but anyway there was this post - http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... ht=sonitus

Perhaps your view of the responsibilities between a merchant and his potential clientele is different from mine. My only point was, whatever marketing and advertising Cakewalk is doing, failed to reach me. Take that however you want. But don't expect me to be motivated to spend any time or do any work because of it...fizbin wrote: Perhaps you need to get on the Cakewalk mailing list?

I really don't expect anything of you. Because of your endearing demeanor, I'm already beginning to care less about you than I did previously, which was absolutely zero at that point.james0tucson wrote:Perhaps your view of the responsibilities between a merchant and his potential clientele is different from mine.
