amoebe ... besides the amp sim (nice as it is) how are you getting the different bass presets into the same song?

Are you using MultiOut and stuffing a different bass sample set in each channel? Then editing your midi channel across the different Wusik Outs?

Wowies! You got some serious tone there! I love when you play the low E. The slapping was very realistically done, too.

My only comment is the bass sound could use a little boost on the lows to beef it up a little. But it's no biggie.

@kevvvvv: No multi outs were harmed during the making of this tune. I used two presets and two different instances of *beep* (to be announced by Paul)

@maximilians1: I use a lot of different soundfonts which I gathered over the years. The sax and the Trombone came from a sampleset that came with Computer music. the trumpet are two GIG sets; crescendo and sustain, that were (are) free for download but I forgot from which site. There should still be a link in the RGC-audio forum.

So am I correct in assuming that you assembled your own horn section from many different samplesets you've collected over the years rather than using a "brass section" patch. Good way to go! I've only dabbled in doing that since my horn arranging skills are pretty non-existent... I will learn though.

Yep. It's not that hard to do (In Tracktion that is). Just play a couple of cords with a simple piano sound for instance, then assigning different notes to different brass instruments: trombone for low notes, sax for middle, trumpet for high notes. I alway let the Lounge Lizard play along with the brass to fill the gaps between notes. If the brass has to sound slick, a simple string patch does wonders to the sound.

That said, if I had the money I would buy Kick-ass Brass right away.
