Can't afford much so I need a low cost audio editor. I can see that the VST implementation in Soundforge Audio Studio 8 is average but I think I can use EnergyXT FX version to apply multiple VST effects at once for mastering etc.
The problem? It would be good if SF recognised my other effects so I can get around always having to use EnergyXT FX. Out of quite a few commercial and quite a few more free plugins SF only seems to recognise about 5 or 6 of them. I have set up the correct folder to scan but it seems SF is oblivious to the FX I have. Is this me, the demo or a known problem.
Thanks for any help.

I have checked that out. It only recognise these. Amplitube LE VST, EnergyXTE, Tackybrowser. In the same folder (C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins\) there are 7 Voxengo plugins, 5 Spin Audio plugins, and many more. They are not recognised but are in the same folder. I am waiting for Sony to get back but as they are a bunch of .... I am not holding my breath.KTS wrote:i have sound forge 8 and all my vst fx work fine......look under the options/preferences tab and make sure they are checked. also, i have my plugs in C/vst plug ins not the sound forge folder.......don't know if that makes a difference but it's worth a look...wreckstep wrote:only dxi plugs work
