Hey, deastman, I remembered!
I used a utility called ERD Commander, which was a bootable CD I got from the IT guys at work.
It booted its own windows XP lookalike OS, and provided access to all disks, FAT or NTFS, with full editing rights.
It solved my problem in two minutes, after two days of trying everything else...
It's probably not free.

Thanks, Hovmod. I've heard of ERD Commander before, and you're right, it isn't free. Something to keep in mind though... 
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.
