I remember hearing that back in the '30s or '40s some sound engineer got in big trouble doing a foley of a body splat for a radio play; they faked a suicide by dropping a watermellon from a tall stepladder.

Apparently it was so realistic that they got tons of complaints that it made people sick!

D'ya want it multisampled for different velocity layers? So you'd want "first floor" through to "127th floor"?

(And is the force that results from a body's acceleration due to gravity equivalent to MIDI velocity, anyway?)
