Personally, I stick Voxengo Span over the mix for when I want to check things. I have Nyquist EQ on each channel and can solo each one to get an idea of the frequency range in Span and try to eliminate clashes. Of course, using ears is the most important part but as I'm only still learning how to mix, all these aides do help, as any rational being would admit.

i wouldnt really want spaceboy only because I simply want to see it, and then use the necessary tools to personally change it.

get a clue babbage..you want to insult me, yet you just admitted you are still LEARNING. If you are still learning, then your ears aren't developed. Looking at a spectrum can only compound that issue. certain frequencies combined energize a track. No software program can tell you that.
I mean, if you need software to show you that Pads take up about every frequency and you'll need to do some serious high passing to get them to sit with the bass, then go for it. Don't insult me because you think (you dodnt even know) Im wrong.

thanks Muff, for the mockery. I really don't ned to post tracks on here to validate my opinion. Especially since, no matter how they sound, you will say something smartass like you just did. I have been personally insulted over and over just for stating my opinion, so I dont need to humor your requests after all that.

I never said I had fnished learning, but I have over 10 years experience, and have learned a lot from guys who have made some great sounding albums.
They all said the same damn thing to me. sorry for passing it on.

c'mon, put your money where your mouth is
pony up
or shut up
there's enough fake experts around here already, i'm sure you are eager to show you shouldn't be lumped in with them, no?
see, NOW i'm being a smartass

Look, the stuff I said, was said to me, was said to them..its just how it is..if you think im making something up, like "use your ears, play with your EQs to hear frequency" then you are in the wrong field. That is what I said to start all this madness.
