wanted: plugin that analyzes multiple inputs' spectrum

best mixing tool i have is 'noise', seriously

fire up an air conditioner before balancing your levels....a consistent noise floor really helps to get everything pretty much even, then raise the few sounds you want to highlight

easier is to just use something to inject pink noise into your mixer while you balance levels. It's a great trick I picked up years ago in some post from Bob Katz (IIRC), and it's served me really well over the years

make all your tracks a bit lower than the noise, then slowly raise each one so it is 'just audible' above the noisefloor....this gives you a very even and balanced mix, and you can go from there to raise up (just a bit!) the track or two you want to stand out above the rest

Stash, ignore the static. No one likes a devil's advocate, but even the vatican sees the necessity of appointing one. Seriously, I would really like to hear one of your mixes with along with an analysis and explanation so we can at least try to "hear" what your ears are hearing and listening to. i know you're mixing a project you can't post at present, but you must have something laying around.

OK, come to think of it, such a plugin might make sense indeed.
Shouldn't be too tough to realize either.
Some of you may know Vincent Burels channel strips (there's a free one which is rather nice, too).
When you call up a bunch of them in a song, you can activate some "master meter bridge" which will show the levels of all of them in one convenient window.
A multi-in analyzer could just work the same. Insert it on whichever tracks/busses/groups and a master window would show all input frequencies overlapping, preferably in different colors.

Only multichannel analyser. It should work fine in cubase, but crashes FL-Studio. Don't know about other hosts.

Nice tool, CWBudde, I've had something like this in my mind for ages and it has been made! Im wondering, The Inputs only show up on the graph if selected as left or right and can't be shown with 'Left + Right', Is this normal, is that how i'ts meant to be?
