So I'll rephrase, what do the warp markers do exactly and what makes them so special? (I've tried the demo of Live, but can't remember and have no interest clogging up Ableton's servers just to answer a fairly simple question)

they mark start/end-points of different sections of a sample and you can specify how many warp-markers a sample has and how many fractions of a beat the period from one warp-marker to the next lasts. Thus they enable you to slow down one section of a sample but to speed up another one, etc. ... . this is called 'warping' - pretty powerful actually!shamann wrote:So I'll rephrase, what do the warp markers do exactly and what makes them so special? I could give you a very long bla bla here. But I try to make it simple. You can put a marker on any position in the sample + the marker has a time code. So the sampler reachs the position of the marker in the sample at the time of the markers time code. You can have as many markers as you like. U can get really freaky or very precise with the warp markers.shamann wrote:What do the warp markers do exactly?

no body gets banned for a little controversy. banning occures only for whom showing too much disrespect to the others000 wrote:Ahh?Galleoneer wrote:I dont think phz bannes you we have the freedom of speech and thoughts here in KvR.000 wrote:Why not simply bann me again, phz?![]()

Thanks for the warp markers explanation, folks.
Has anyone done any kind of a comparison in results and versatility between Live's stretch/warp functions and CSound's sndwarp opcode, which I believe also lets you specify different stretching and pitching to separate sections of an audio file?

Nice photoshop skills but very bad spelling and extrem infantile taste of humor. I guess you would also fly to the moon to impress me.
Were is the plugin BTW. We also want to have a functional GUI.
