At a few clubs (in Vancouver) I've heard an awesome remix of Steve Winwood's "Valerie", but I can't find out who does it; does anyone have an idea who does it?

If you mean 'Call On Me' thrown together by some guy named Eric Prydz; have you been living in a cave?

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!

Awesome remix? You gotta be kidding. I just hope Steve earned some good money on this one.

So his voice is still in great shape:) But seriously, I don't normally approve of such massacring of great 80's pop tunes, but then again we're in the age of recycling ,and charts music is mainly done by mediocre quasy musicians who in a lot of cases cannot even play a single instrument. Good production but lack of any true musical substance. And then comes recycling....Kriminal wrote:he actually re-recorded the vocals for it

Poor Canadians!
This was played 10 times a day on the radio in spring here... A really annoying trend in remixing, to use 1 or 2 measures of a famous 80´s song, loop them for 3 minutes and then turn a lowpass filter up and down a couple of times through the whole thing..
Anyway, I think it´s justified to have it on the dancefloor, cause the sound and beat is great, but such monotonous music shouldnt be on the radio.

Well, thank you all for your slightly snobby responses! I'm not as frequent a club-goer as I used to be, plus I haven't had TV for about 2 years (I guess I do kind of live in a cave), so I guess I missed it if it is an old release. I was also on many beers when I heard it, but it got my feet moving and I like remixes of early 80's songs. I might think it sucks next time I hear it, who knows.
Thanks for the help.
