I finally took the time to make a little demo recording:
Here we go:
Original:
http://www.galleoneer.com/files/raw.mp3
Processed with the filter:
http://www.galleoneer.com/files/fil1.mp3
Some wild preset switching on the same original:
http://www.galleoneer.com/files/fil2.mp3
What do you think?
More to come.

Sounds very good. Love the subtle rhythm you get in the first clip.
Any chance of drum beat example and another example to show off extreme settings (self-oscillation, drive, etc)?

Later some day I hope. But I got so much ideas that must be done before.ttoz wrote:The second one sounds great.
Are you considering mac versions of your products?

Yupp, no problem. I'll do it the next days. Any particular loop in mind then post it to me.ttoz wrote:yeah wold be nice to hear a filtered drum loop

I tried to play DJ:
Here we go:
The loop plays original at start then we go through some filter presets.
Two things to say:
1st the loop never changes (endless repeated)
2st I dont tweak the filter, I only go through the presets.
file:
http://www.galleoneer.com/files/loop.mp3
What do you think?
I wish I could make better presets or my DJing skills would be better.
maybe I try my luck again later.
More to come.

I just implemented some parameter smoothing or morphing. So that (if you do not change the filter type between two presets) the transition from preset a to preset b will be smoothed. So that you hear a gentle sweep.
I just don`t know how to handle filter type changes in this context. That they occure smooth too.
cheers

p.s.: Here is the link to the plugin. That you can bookmark it if you are interested:

no comments or suggestions on the audio examples
I guess I should quit DJing

I'm not sure switching through presets on the drum loop shows what the filter sounds like.
Might need something that explicitly shows off the sound of the filter (do a full low pass sweep, do same with high resonance, show the different filter modes, etc).
The drum loop can be heard faintly but clearly throughout the clip, even when the cutoff is low. Is there a parrallel high-pass filter letting the loop through, or was the filter not mixed 100%?
If you want me to get started with the beta ahead of schedule, PM me with details and I can do up an example clip on drum loop if you'd like.

Yes, your right. I just wanted to show that it will probably be 'the DJs filter'. Because every state change will be interpolated and morphed slowly. That makes it ideal for life loop manipulation. Also it has plenty of modulation options. Almost every parameter can be modulated by 4 LFOs simultanously. And the LFOs can be really, really slow.shamann wrote:I'm not sure switching through presets on the drum loop shows what the filter sounds like.
I might need to clone myselfshamann wrote:Might need something that explicitly shows off the sound of the filter (do a full low pass sweep, do same with high resonance, show the different filter modes, etc).
yes the example has a dry/wet mix at say 75%.shamann wrote:The drum loop can be heard faintly but clearly throughout the clip, even when the cutoff is low. Is there a parrallel high-pass filter letting the loop through, or was the filter not mixed 100%?
I PM you later today or tomorrow regarding this.shamann wrote:If you want me to get started with the beta ahead of schedule, PM me with details and I can do up an example clip on drum loop if you'd like.
thanks for the feedback.

"The DJ Filter" ...
Oh men, please come down again, please (before it drives in total megalomania...).
(By the way. I higly suggest you to take a closer look at the available commercial Filter plugins. I mean, it would be probably quite difficult for you to to even match the quality (and hype) of those.)
To the sounds I listened to here: It sounds like a quite average digital 12db filter with extremely reduced resonance capability in my ears ...
You asked. I have some listening experience and made allot of filter comparsions in the past. (And I did put to pieces filters, which were aeones in front of yours.)
Please don't feel attacked. And don't fly so high ... the sun could burn you.

Its not megalomaniac. It just morphs the presets (well currently filtertype changes will not be morphed, but I`ll find a workaround) so it is good for life loop filtering performances.000 wrote:![]()

Quality? I think I there is some of it in it. Hype? You could be right! But my parametrisation, modulation and morphing is unique. SO lets wait.000 wrote:(By the way. It can not sound average because it is my own implementation. Most people take some code from somewhere and improve it. Thats the reason why most of the competitors sound the same. I developed mine from the scartch, thatswhile it has to sound different. And, no its no synthedit.000 wrote:To the sounds I listened to here: It sounds like a quite average digital 12db filter with extremely reduced resonance capability in my ears ...
Seems the only thing you are all about is to try to putting tings to pieces.000 wrote:You asked. I have some listening experience and made allot of filter comparsions in the past. (And I did put to pieces filters, which were aeones in front of yours.)
You have the problem not successfull analysing different situations and reacting in a proper way. Thats a big problem of yours. And I guess this is why everybody don`t likes you here. I tried to like you but I must admit that its very hard.000 wrote:Please don't feel attacked. And don't fly so high ... the sun could burn you.![]()
I don't think I am flying somewhere. I quit the drugs when I finished highschool. But you should check your attitude dude.

Well. I don't like dudes, which obviously have megalomania...
"Parameter morphing is your unique feature"...
Since when please? Even not with FILTERS!
You obviously lack heaviely knowledgement based on very simple analysis and comparsion with other *existing* products. That's what I pointed out here. Has only very few to do with "missing respect".
But sorry, I cannot gain any respect to a person, who want to make us believe such nonsense here.
That's what I call megalomania: Thinking you are *that* genial and unique, but not even knowing that even this wheel was already invented by others...
Either you are really that dumb or it is pure intention - a try to manipulate the minds.
I tried your free filter ...
And yes, I believe very much, that it was completely developed by you for some reasons - geniality is not that reason by the way ...
But wait...
"I just google for the sources then ... "
This was actually, what you wrote regarding the source codes of Atti's filter theorem in this thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... c&start=75 some hours ago. So I guess you tried to manipulate us again regarding your "unique coding" abilities ("it's all my own ideas")
...
You still remain very suspicious to me.

As I said:
You have the problem not successfull analysing different situations and reacting in a proper way. Thats a big problem of yours.
But you are megalomaniac. Because you always try to show everyone whats right or wrong. And your reference is always your opinion. Just because its your opinion you are attacking developers, artist, well, everyone. And then most times you use words like 'stupid, nonsense, useless' etc. Your attitude shows always an overdose of disrespect. You do this because you are thinking that you are better than others. Even to the icons or pioneers in this bizz. Well thats really megalomaniac.
So you don't like megolomaniacs then go and hate yourself. I don't like you either like everyone else here.
Just because you are a megolomaniac and showing disrespect you were banned from this forum, right. So don`t project your problems to the others.
"But my parametrisation, modulation and morphing is unique. SO lets wait. "
Besides that I have not seen any morphing filter yet. And besides that there are 1 billion virtual analog synths and everyone of them is still different. I didn't relate the word 'unique' only on morphing.
But to give controversy that misses the context of the conversation is excactly your typical argumentation process.
Don`t project your problems to the others.
I also never claimed to be a genius and every human is in fact unique.
For my interpretation of megalomania see above.
I really don't like your ways or logic tripleZero. So try to integrate yourself not to be banned again. Your running out of nicknames sice then.
And do me one little favour lease. Whatever you want to tell me, PLEASE keep it for yourself.

You have the problem not successfull analysing different situations and reacting in a proper way. Thats a big problem of yours.
There is nothing megalomaniac about me. Everybody realy like me in my surroundings. People don't like megolomaniacs usually.000 wrote:Well. I don't like dudes, which obviously have megalomania...

Besises that I don't kwon the word 'knowledgement', this is excactly what I am insulting you. So again:000 wrote:You obviously lack heaviely knowledgement based on very simple analysis and comparsion with other *existing* products. That's what I pointed out here. I don't want any respect from you. I just want you to stop pestering me with this (sorry I can find no other words) 'nonsense'.000 wrote:But sorry, I cannot gain any respect to a person, who want to make us believe such nonsense here.
Again I did't claim to invent any wheel. (Like the big wheel you invented in the detunator. Where you telling everybody you are a master of dsp and human-machine interaction ergonomics). I just made a filter that is unlike any other. It is no copy of anything: this statement is true. It looks different, it has different paramenters, a different algorithm, sound etc., etc.000 wrote:That's what I call megalomania: Thinking you are *that* genial and unique, but not even knowing that even this wheel was already invented by others...

I am also no stupid person, sorry. I also don`t try to manipulate minds (I am not like you). Just showing sound examples from my new filter to the people.000 wrote:Either you are really that dumb or it is pure intention - try to manipulate the minds.
Again I never said I am a genius. The filter was dowloaded approx. 3000 copies monthly. It was on the cover cds of some print magazines. And was featured some online magazines and resources.000 wrote:I tried your free filter ...

Antti is a grand master of filter design. I heard (yesterday) from urs that his filter sources are free on the net. So i wanted to have a look. The Multimodefilter Mk1 was developed on the start of this year. So for some chronological reasons you can not relate the one to the other. The Multimodefilter Mk2 has started development a few months ago. So the same applies to it, too. Besides no one can google for sources yesterday night and show a complex filter on today morning.000 wrote:But wait...
"I just google for the sources then ... "

Well, thats the joke of the day. But I am not guilty officer.000 wrote:You still remain very suspicious to me.
