This one's a keeper, IMO, though I mostly use it for the smoother "overdrive sounds". I like the "bias" knob mostly or all the way clockwise and drive 40-60%. The EQ is effective. I'm running synths through it for more edge and power and I use it in parallel with Izotope Trash for guitar, synth, and organ. There is an SRV preset you can get at Izotope's website and when I run that in parallel with an overdrive setting on the Brackenbury, I'm getting a smooth, fat guitar lead I almost can't believe, being that there's no real guitar amp other than my SVT bass preamp involved.
I'd say give the Brackenbury a go!

Most of us did that a few weeks ago, when it was new
But you are right, it has a certain character of its own.
It's a keeper for me too.

I think the clipping is a bit fuzzy on this but if you keep it just on the clean side of breakup, it's surprisingly nice for a SE freebie, so I thought I'd mention it.

I combine the two, as I said, and they seem to compliment one another for fat clean sounds.rpc9943 wrote:muahah soon with trash i shall not have any amp sim needs EVER AGAIN!

I think this is the best SE amp I've tried (which may not be saying much). It has supplanted Wurr's Tube Booster for a "tube-ifier" plug for synths and organs.

If you have any use for clean sounds, try it again with the drive about 30$, the bias full clockwise, and the bass at about 60%.veseli koljac wrote:it's bad like all others SE amps.
