I done another font, this one is of Bongos, very dry and rather than have velocity depths per key (so you get different tones depending how hard you press your keys etc) I have placed a recorded sample per key (of course it responds to velocity but you get the same tone – to get a different tone you move up or down the keybord)
I done this for two reasons – one, its dead easy to make and two it gets round the problem of guys who only use one velocity setting and thereby missing out on one ton of different ones)
This is virtually impossible not to be able to create a realistic bongo percussion with. Add a bit of reverb or fx to taste – use the pan to put the bongos where you want in the stereo field.
Here is a very very quick example mp3 (with fx added coz it would be naff without, so reverb n panning in place here)
http://spe3d.com/audio/Spe3dBongos.mp3 (319 kb very small example)
Edit:
You can download the font (2.5 MB zip) from the page on this link
http://www.audioshots.com/index.php?opt ... iew&id=154
Edit:
I have now done a 24 Bit 44.1 sample collection that has a dynamic range from 24 dB to 0 dB
In all there are 132 samples in 6 folders grouped by head tension. Hits made with fingers, thumb and flat of the hand.

The mp3 sample sounds great. This may finally get me off my butt to start playing with soundfonts a bit!

pretty good except the samp'les are obviously too chopped(sound like gated roland rompler), so they sound un-naturall
same goes for the rest of your stuff...particularly the harmonica...its a shame cause the tone is good..but you chopped off too much of the beginning
so using the attack of an envelop to make up for the almost clicky start of the sample, sounds synthish
nowadays everyone has alot of ram, so I would like to make a special request...when you do a soundfont or sample pack...leave off some air before and after the sample ...cause its too choppy soundding...
do you think I could get the raw sample of the harmonica...if I have to i'd roll my own...I can live without the "pfffft---Tweeeeeeeet""

I do cut real real close to the start so there is next to no silence at the start of the sample, so very fast attack (I guess I am thinking too much percussion type stuff) I don’t actually chop the sound of the instrument or whatever at all – its all there in its entirety, till now I never actually considered having silence at the start of a sample. Non-the-less good to know and will keep this in mind for my next sound font (particularly an instrument one)realmarco wrote:

Cool! Indeed I will re-sample the harmonica and upload this (probably this week may even be tomorrowrealmarco wrote: do you think I could get the raw sample of the harmonica...if I have to i'd roll my own...I can live without the "pfffft---Tweeeeeeeet""
