Hope someone can help me to sort that out.
Me and my friends were recording a live jam straight to cd with a (i think it was) Sony CD recorder....
Few minutes before the recorder was bout' to reach the end of the cd, the power went off.
Friends told me that once the recording is over, the cd must be finalized before it gets functional at 100%.
We've skipped that procedure cause we thought that maybe could lead to something worst, IF happens we can recover the track BEFORE finalizing it.
Now....there's any way i can fix the cd? It appears as an "empty" cd on Isobuster,Nero,etc....afaik there's should be something that has to do with the TOC.
Plus, i'll prefer to work on a copy than on the original cd....even if, of course, sounds weird that i wanna copy what appears to be an empty cd :hihi:

Any help will be appreciated.

Finalizing just means you can play it on a normal CD player. If the power went off tho, it may be corrupt, but have you tried to open it on your PC and 'exploring' it for data that you can copy?

Nero says it's blank, same for isobuster, and same if i try to open it via explorer.....it doesn't show any audiotrack icon....

could we know each way ?

sure...

after tryin' with BlindWrite, CDRoller, DvdDataRescue, etc
i've saved the whole cd content using EAC.
Basically, u just need to put the cd in the cd-rom drive, then open the "Write CD" on Eac using ALT-W.
Here, select "Test Drive" from the menu....and let it check it out.
When u get a pop-up window with a list of possible CD titles, click cancel and when u go back to the main screen, the first track of the track should appear...then choose extract....and you're done.
One thing tho: the CD, in this case, it's a 80min one...and the power went off (or better, a cnut unplugged the main plug we were using...long story there) the timer on the recorder was around 78min.
So i just extracted using the "Copy Range" option under "Action" menu.....from 0:00:00 to 78:00:00..... :D
