What are you going to charge for the finished version cause you've got a definite sale when you release?

Nice work.

Bump...

Is this synth always going to be free... or is this going to be the free version with a larger registered version coming out later?

Very nice synth HG. I can't wait to spend more time playing with it.

Kind regards

Wow...this synth is pretty friggin awesome!!!

H G this synth is exceptional! I have made a couple of VERY nice pads(at least to my ears) and even a couple of tempos(running those through an arp) that have been fun to play with. Is there a link to the patches from Tim Conrardy? I would love to try them:) Thank you for making this available!
Best regards,
Aubie

tims patches will be in the final release next week :)

Hi,
there will be an enhanced registered
version (more waves, 8 or 9 voices etc.). Release is scheduled end of next week.
Probably there will be a two voice free and this PrototypeX will no longer be available then.

cheers

wow , got it just in time then..(in relation to this only being available for a few more days) but i'm seriously thinkin i might buy the full one when it comes out. hey are there some wierd brain wave things going on with this synth or what!! it is pretty wierd to play with (in the nicest way of course) And that strange picture.. pretty trippy.- i can imagine it slowly evolving (not too fast as to be too noticable) with the music as you play, - thats what i would like to see anyway.
thanks for the fun toy..
i just watched a documentary on a guy called bruce haack tonight and the sounds on this synth arent too far from some of the music he produced, he worked from the late 50's to the early 80's right out on the fringes (mainly doing kids records) but man, he was pretty ahead of his time.. check it out if you can find it the dvd is called -haack, the king of techno.(though he is sort of more electro than techno).. with guest appearances by beck , money mark and others, it is quite amazing

Oh boy, finally got round to trying PrototypX/Protoplasm last night. It blew my mind! :o Absolutely beautiful. Great work, Mr Fortune.

I was up all night playing with it. Did some patch randomisation with MiniHost to get a feel for the range of this synth and, well, it's massive. There's probably more sounds in there than there are atoms in the universe.

Or something. :D

Not entirely sure what I'm doing with regard to the LFOs, but hopefully someone will explain it all to nitwits like me some time.

What's the email address for sending in patches?

Hi , I tested this synth and It somehow made me think of Motion from ugo. I find it quite impressive, and a bit complicated at first, but very promising for filtering landscapes/textures in your sounds.
I miss exporting of individual wavs in the soundfont section of the percussion, so that I could put my drums/snares on it. Anyway, congratulations for giving out this masterpiece for free, its a fantastic sound machine.

I Think im gonna try again it with some randomization in minihost, LOL. [/addiction mode]

Post

yes , nearly every randomization is a keeper i reckon. I bet thats how tim conrady designed his patches hehe :D

I buy everything HG Fortune makes. His synths are all inspiring at the least, but usually mindblowing. He is precisely the kind of developer worth supporting.
