Hi, Im looking for a good echo filter because I dont like that one that Cubase has... Does Waves make one? If so what is it called?

THanks...

Ronin by Audio Damage is the best I've used, since it has a fully modular signal path, and really good analog-style delay implementation. Ohm Force's Ohmboyz is also excellent and fairly well spec'ed.

For free: e-phonic RetroDelay, Obertone Filterbank, u-he's more feedback machine are all fantastic.

i like the free: tapedelay

its so good, reminds me of the same kind of delay used at the end of radiohead ok computer's "karma police"

If you're on pc and want to spend some money, there's also the analogflux suite from Voxengo that has a nice delay.

u-he's more feed back machine is pretty great...I think he has more in store after zebra 2 is finished.

Thanks for the info.

Audio damage (makers of ronin) have a new plug coming out called dubstation, which looks like it could be excellent for filtered echo (and pitching delay effects)

retrodelay kicks arse! :)

OhmBoyz and RetroDelay are the best I have.

analogic delay/bionic delay (don't know the manufacturer)

honestly,
there's only one delay that's worth a 6 hour video tutorial, and that's 'more feedback machine'

this is by far the most flexible, highly-evolved filter/delay on the market

and I'm sure the base of all 60 paying customers would agree with me.

I just wish Urs would finish up all these side projects of Filterscape and Zebra 2, so he can concentrate on mfm2

Is there a difference between what is available for download and what you get as a registered user, or is it a standard shareware "pay if you use" kind of registration? I use it now and again, and love it, so would consider registering, though if it is a "pay if you use" arrangement, I might be more inclined to purchase one of Urs' other projects to support his current development activity (I've earmarked a place in my cashflow for Zebra 2 when it hits).

Post

there's no difference as far as i remember

apparently not a lot of customers chose to send their money in, so Urs is under the impression that he needs to do projects like Filterscape and Zebra to afford to keep doing what he does best.

i dropped out of the Zebra 2 beta testing because I didn't think I had time to contribute enough to earn a complimentary NFS copy. I'd rather pay him outright, esp after picking up Filterscape through sporadic beta testing.

Filterscape incidentally has a deceptively simple delay on top of everything else -- it's mind boggling what a simple control can accomplish for delay.
So if nothing else definitely check out Filterscape package for filter/delay. More filter than delay, but don't overlook it's delay possibilities.

And again I encourage whatever support it takes to get Urs off these distracting projects and working on mfm2.

I have a predilection for modular things, so Zebra2 will be more up my alley. I like Filterscape, just found it didn't suit my attention span. It's mode of operation was counter-intuitive to my mode of operation.

Indeed, I may register mfm, after all, simply as a way of saying thanks.

Cheers for the info.
