M-Powered is not a unit or hardware, but rather software modeled after PTLE to support M-Audio hardware. The first step would be to choose the M-Audio hardware you plan to use.

Something that I found out was that there's a difference between the M-powered version of PT and the version that comes with the Mbox. The M-powered version has fewer features and extras than the Mbox version. If it was me, I'd buy the Mbox bundle. I don't care for the M-Audio interfaces. I'd take an Mbox over ANY M-Audio box. Three of the three M-Audio interfaces I've used had issues and I returned them.

As far as I've seen, the missing features in M-Powered are nothing serious if you will be using PT for music only. You cannot run some plugins for doing video scoring, and less control surfaces are supported. On the other hand, the unsupported video plugins would cost you big money if you were planning on getting them.

And the extras such as Reason Adapted, Live Lite etc. are bundled with lots of M-Audio deviced anyhow.

Do yourself a favor, skip that light software and spend the same amount of money on Sonar Studio or Cubase SE.
I'm glad the c major scale was invented before copyright law
