Hello,
I am trying to route osc B-C-D to filter A but there is no sound other than osc A
When I use only the osc 1 to filter A then there is sound but if I route other ones, it does nothing.
Thanks !
P..S : It would be nice if the OSC's would be named 1-2-3-4- instead of the same letters than the filters.
Thanks again !

Umm I assume you are talking about Foorius here.yul wrote:Hello,

Simple no can do.
The OSC's have the same naming scheme as the Filters A/B/C/D for a reason.
Each Oscillator is hardwired to it's own bank of LFO's and EG's so OSC A has FILTER A assignements etc ... Osc B -> Filter B etc etc ....
You still get a swag of LFO types and EG's per filter type however ie : amp / pitch / flter assignments and the like.
You can even substitute envelopes for step sequenced midi synced enevelopes for pitch etc if you like.
You can achieve greater tonal control via the algorythm used and oscillator carrier->modulator relationship via level's , algo used and feedback of certain oscillator signal paths also.
The synth isn't wired with that level of filter patch modularity.
In all honesty it doesn't need it as it's damn complex enough as it is IMHO.
In your case just route the same filter type.
IE: Filte A/B/C/D have the same filter settings.
It works out to be way more flexible anyway as each filter can then have its own Filter EG and independent LFO waveshape and modulation routing + velocity response curve and the like.

I guess the thing is that sometimes less flexibility is better for the task at hand, and probably alot easier on CPU as well. This is also one of my gripes with foorius- I would love to be able to route all oscillators to one filter.FaX wrote:Umm I assume you are talking about Foorius here.yul wrote:Hello,

You can route oscilators B, C and D into Filter A
Here is how you would have the matrix set up...

However you cannot route FILTERS B C and D into Filter A. If you want that kind of arrangement then you would route filters A, B, C into D. The filters are processed in order, A then B then C then D. This means the output of filter A can be fed to filter B,C and D. The output of B can be fed to C and D etc.
Naming the filters 1,2,3,4 would have been less confusing but it's a bit late now

So i managed to route Oscs B-C-D to filter A succesfully.
The problems is why didnt it work before ?
There is nothing I had done differently.
Thats what i meant by poop out. I will try again and again until I can recreate the situation.
