seems the midi learn for cc mapping the volume of audio tracks in the sequencer isn'T receiving any midi from outside (automation inside the seq works fine though) .

that's odd...
i can do it fine, as long as i have selected the track seclected that i want the volume changed on.
or if i have manual record on and have the track marked.

As a workaround:
- create an (empty) MIDI track, route it to the audio track,
- then MIDI Learn by the audio track volume control of the external MIDI CC will work,
- but if the audio track is the Current track, it does not work.
.
PS I went back to v1.2.9 - it's the same there, so I guess it may never have been implemented

You may be right , I had never used it before I noticed this .
The workaround you showed works a treat , thanks
PS: tip: if the midi track is set to manual mode and audition is on you don't have to slect any track for this to work (I even include such a track now in my default project)
