sounds like buffer size problem somewhere...

most of it occurs when mouse clicking or moving the interface about.. wheely mousing and what not...

one more interesting discovery... In ext, it won't even playback at 64 samples... it just sits there. I can use 64 samples in any other host with no problems in playback at all... and no clicks or buzzing (unless the cpu is getting hammered). Might that shed some light on something? (fingers crossed)...

And is it ACPI or Standard?

Mine is ACPI (576 samples / 10ms SC) - no crackles.

tried testing a higher latency.. and in the process of changing the latency from the echo control panel it crashed eXT.. restarted ext and playback was accelerated.. went to setup, hit apply.. and now all is good at the higher latency.

Whatever you did, I'm using the testasio for now on.. cos I'd rather it crash when switching latencies than deal with the buzzing... :D
