Hi,

Just got the Manystation, but there is a few quirks in trying to install it.

I went through the install process, and chose a temporary folder for the data since I'm at version 2 of Wusikstation: well, after the lenghty install, there was no sound file in the temp folder, only "unins000.exe" and "unins000.dat". I guess I had a different definition on what the "data" are supposed to be :wink: . (BTW, can I delete that folder? it's in a temp folder that I keep empty normally)

Sure enough, the installer wrote the soundfiles in the \Wusikstation Data\SoundSets folder instead of where I requested; not that bad but still...

Then I hunted for the presets: none are to be found. I'm guessing at this point that since ver. 1 had a folder called bank (or Bank, or banks, or Banks) but the ver.2 has no such folder that the installer simply didn't write any files to HD instead of creating the folder. So, what should I do at this point to get the presets?

BTW, I think installers sucks, they never ever do what we expect and always introduce problems like this one; I would much rather get split archives and decide for myself what I want to do with the files.

Can somebody at the very least tell me if the old bank folder was called /Bank or /bank or /Banks or /banks so I can at least try to install again and get the darn presets?

I am running my Ver1 of ManyStation beside and in the same folder as Ver2 of Wusik and it all works.
We will be updating the ManyStation engine to ver 2 soon also.
Let me know how it goes.

Well, I reinstalled four times trying all four names, no presets are to be found on any of my HD. No error messages on install, nothing, just no presets. I've got the soundsets and they work alright, the skins also but no presets bank.

I believe the presets are installed with the ManyStation VSTi, and not with the soundset. Paul?

Yep, was the problem; the presets are installed with the VSTI while the soundsets and skins are installed with the data, and I never bothered installing the VSTI 'cause I don't need it.

Ahhhh
I did not realize you didn't install the VST...
:-)
The reason is so that we can update the Banks without users having to Download the Big Package again. They just Download the small VSTi files.

How about making a separate download for the presets. Could avoid a few confused minds... :hihi:
