I'm not really upset. I'm just a sarcastic f**k. Get used to it, I'm not the only one. The world is a hard, hard place. :hihi:

Well, I'm not really sorry either, so that kind of balances out nicely.

Yeah, I just like to give people, that are too f**king stupid to use the Forum's Search feature, a hard time. :hihi:

Yeah, I can tell that you were beat up on when you were a kid. :hihi:

Get over yourself man.

Yeah, repeated threads are annoying for the regulars on any forum - and even with my fresh membership reverb threads seem to represent the absolute nadir on KVR - but on the bright side someone usually seems to find something useful.

Though I think any subsequent threads should have their small honour of thread independence removed and be stuffed into some awful sticky, bloated and amalgamated horror of a "best reverb thread".

Perhap, however I'm not the only one.

Yeah, it seems like a few stickies would help matters. Or at least contain it... like a leper colony. :hihi:

What's the best reverb?

What's the best synth for trance?

What's the best freeware synth?

My two cents: As long as the question is "best reverb for everything", divergent opinions will continue.

As was stated by someone else earlier, even old timers can pick up bits and pieces applicable to their situation every time a thread like this is started.

To some, VST EQ's, Reverb's, and Compressor's are still one taco short of a combination plate when compared to high end classic hardware, so the search for the holy grail continues.

I will admit that I am a sucker for reviewing threads on any of these topics...

The best reverbs with the lowest CPU hit are the Powercore ones since they run on the dsp card. The only native, non-convolution reverb I've tried (haven't tried Megalov yet) that's on the same level as the Powercore ones is the Princeton Digital.

Sorry to sound like a snob but I can't understand how people can even consider using Anwida or Freeverb after having used SIR.

I personally think Freeverb is one of the best sounding reverb plugins around. My biggest problem with it, is it's lack of features and flexibility. Why don't you like it? Is it because it's free?

The Princeton isn't bad but it's a little metallic sounding and bright for my tastes. Probably very good for Pop music but I dabble in the Ambient genre.

PSP EasyVerb has a similar sound, so I assume it's using some of the same algorithms, but with with the added feature of having different room types to choose from.

Like I said in an earlier post, I find convolution reverbs to be over rated. I guess due to the genre I work in I tend to prefer artificial sounding reverbs to real enviromental impulses. YMMV depending on the style of music you make.

I don't know how it is on CPU usage but I use GlaceVerb a hell of a lot. Use it more than my Waves RVerb (which is really pretty good but GlaceVerb is easier to use and it's free).
