Up until now I haven't had use for a plugin of this type but I'd like your opinions on some of the ones out there and possubly some decent free ones as well.
I need a plugin that I can record/compose midi patterns in (and save them) then be able to play them back in a sequence(kinda like Fruity Loops). Preferbably the plugin will have a MIDI out that I can assign to the inputs of various Softsynths in Sonar 4 Producer edition.
I have a little but of cash to spend on program or plugin .. Would something such as REason 3.0 be able to accomlish this task as a rewire ? I do think that would be a bit of an overkill for the situation , but it might be nice to have Reason to begin with.
I'm completely lost when it comes to this , it's not something I've looked into before. Also ..
Exactly what are Step Sequencer Plugins & Tracker plugins ? I get the jist of them , but I'm sure you guys can give me better advice on them.

it's everything you asked for, but designed in a modular way....which seems too me is what you would be looking for. Go way down the list of forums to theirs and get the demo...better yet it's not that expensive...
