I have just purchased a cd containg midi files but when I imported the midi file in to cubase in all came in as about 100 midi files in different lanes at once is there anyway to click on those individual midi files that I think I might use at a later date and put them in a folder so that I can import them individually.........

Or is there a way to split a grouped midi file up that is just one midi file full of the sections of a tune..

i think you may want to ask at cubase.net 's forums. their really open to new users like yourself ;) ;) ;)

Midi files can contain tons of midi tracks. Just make sure you only import 1 midi file, after that it's time to mute tracks, slice etc.
I'd also recommend creating folder tracks in SX, then you can drag the unwanted tracks into a folder for temporary storage, and just minimize the folder track to save a lot of screen space.

Thanks guys......

BTW......This has also been posted at cubase forums but they do take a era to post back.........I find posting at KVR tonnes quicker and that is why I tend to stick around here..
