Hi

How do you set up Live to 'SEE' 2 seperate plug-in folders?

I have pointed it to my VSTI folder and dragged a shortcut to my VSTfx folder - and placed that into the VSTI folder.

Unfortunately Live crashes on start up unless I remove the shgortcut - what am I doing wrong?

Hi Flipper,

It sounds like it's seeing it or it wouldn't be crashing. I may be full ot it. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to use Live 5, but with Live 4, there were plug-ins it didn't like, and Live 4 would simply go into oblivion. I had to re-boot every time, something I really liked doing. :(

I had a separate folder just for Live 4, and I added plug-ins by developer one-by-one to weed out the trouble makers. I don't remember which ones, unfortunately. So, it may not be your shortcut. It may be a plug-ins or multiple plug-ins that Live doesn't like.

If it is your shortcut, then I have no solution. But, I am sure somebody will have one if that's causing your problem. In any event, I am sure you aren't alone.

HI

I have 2 folders: 1 for FX and the other for instruments - I have loaded them both on seperate ocassions.

The only thing is .... I wonder if my shortcut in the vst folder of Live is a link to the shortcut I keep of both folders on the desktop!!!???

EDIT!

Yes: I was trying to go from a string of shortcuts!!!

Working now that I puit a direct shortcut in!
