AMV patches have mods to the macros only. Modwheel to "Swell" (which is a very liquid volume control), and then Push is turned up (which is a macro for the AMOUNT of aftertouch internally to amp and filter-subtle to sim the push of an acoustic instrument went played stronger) and then vspeed is up which turns up the amount and range simultaneously of a velocity to attack time (you won't see your envelope attack knob move though, it is an internal modulation) and then vstart is up sometimes to add some timbral variety in the sample start point.

The only thing you should see moving is Macro A which is swell. Sometimes the range is purposely set from 64 to 127 for a tighter range of expression. If you prefer it to go all the way to zero then just click on midi control and the parameter (go up one to the original modulation which you will see) and then change it to whatever you like and save it back as AMV2 or something.... or replace it if you want.

There are so many ways to tweak it to your liking that I think we're going to do an in depth video teaching the ways to get the most out of it.

Thanks. I'll give it another try at the weekend.
A video tutorial would be very helpful.

I sorted it out. FLS needs a MidiOut channel to act as a go-between even for the Modwheel, even though PitchBend works fine without any tweaking. Not sure why it's necessary to do it this way. Are other hosts like this too? Aftertouch also needs a control set in a MidiOut channel. It seems to be working fine, although I've had a couple of crashes.
