yes, it comes with a vst adapter

There are a couple of issues with vst automation. Some are very abstract and occur for some users. The one that is pretty universal is that after 7 and a half minutes vst's stop responding to any automation.

are you being serious? I've never had that problem myself ... just in case the original question was asked in earnest ...

Which version of the SONAR 4 was that?
You know they've updated it a few times?
The most recent being 4.0.3

Many fixes to the VST adapter since 4.0.1

I'm pretty sure that was something new introduced in the 4.0.3 patch. I am runnning 4.0.2 and have not had that issue. I'm sure they will fix it in 4.0.4

iirc, it's something that's been there forever, according to one of the earlier posts. i personally have not experienced it since i haven't automated any vst's beyond the 7 minute mark.
