The reports are beginning to come in but we still don't know how many thousands have lost everything. But New Orleans, a city of almost half a million is without water, and the homeless in the gulf states will likely be in the hundreds of thousands. Grateful as we are that there was relatively little loss of life due to early warning and exacuation, nevertheless need will be great in the aftermath.

As has been the case since the Asian tsunami last December, the revenues from these soundsets will go to the Red Cross. More will be added so there is more opportunity to give.
Buy these or not, please do give, as much and as soon as possible.

Done.
Actually, before you send me a download link, I'd like to donate what I just paid for to the first person who says they could use it. I picked up the sample set, not the refill.
ciao,
D

You guys are beautiful. I'll see if there is a sample set I can use (or not) and do a purchase, *along* with hitting the Red Cross. My regular and constant contribution goes to Habitat for Humanity, and they do good work on rebuilding homes after terrible times like these.

John, quick question: I don't have any samplers per se, but I'm a recent Wusikstation user. Will purchasing the Hollow Sun Sampler set you show lead me - at some point - to a Wusikstation version? If not, I'll just add the cost into my donation to one of the charities, and get the real bottom line accomplished.Bassballjg wrote:http://www.dangerousbear.com/charityware.html

I'm working on a Wusik Set for charityware, or if time doesn't allow, divert one of the extant libraries' revenues to the Rd Cross. Watch this space for that announcement. But don't wait for that, just give.envoy wrote:John, quick question: I don't have any samplers per se, but I'm a recent Wusikstation user. I just sent you the link before reading this. I'll see what I can do about allowing you to transfer it. I probably need to ask Steve first regarding the sample license.Sicklecell666 wrote:Done.

Ok, for the month of September, but starting now, buy SynWav for EVE ONE, or DB SliceKits for WusikEngine and that money goes to the Red Cross. I'm going to consult with my associates about whay else can be put up for this effort.
EVE ONE(DASHsnd version, not WusikSND):

Cheers, Rob.
We haven't heard from Travis yet, and I have friends that owned tattoo shops in New Orleans I am unable to locate. I don't know if they're alive or dead right now, but it doesn't matter if you know someone effected or not as the scope of tragedy and loss is so far reaching and overwhelming..There's no way this will be overcome without everyone doing something to help.
Don't count on the White House..Take care of your own.

I don't really use samples, so I want to donate to the redcross.org
There is just one question there which confuses me:

certainly in the uk there are all sorts of ways to give that involve tax breaks. my old company used to match my charitable giving and it was all calculated pre tax. the net result is that the charity got twice as much money and it (in real terms) didn't cost me as much.mystahr wrote:I don't really use samples, so I want to donate to the redcross.org
