i use l2 as a track limiter .. you can feed that **cker any kind of signal and it handles it .. l3 didn't ;) .. i /would/ choose l3 as master limiter, though .. .. a maximizer ...

you have nothing to be sorry about...Killbox wrote:hahahahaReally sorry guys!
Ill search for opinions. Really sorry!
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I have tried this plugin, but Iv yet to find its appeal. It basically like L2 but with various models to emulate different types of mixbuss. I assume this means some kind of waveshaping takes place, Im not sure?
Eitherway, I found the results fairly average. I love L2, that plug is a god send, so I have no plans to upgrade as yet.
But bear in mind I only tried it for a few sessions, Im quite sure it has more under the hood than I was able to discover. It may well be a gem. I'd probably ask the guys at Gearslutz since they always try the new ('ish
) plugs out in pro sessions.
Imo, Qclone is the best thing Waves have done recently. That is bar none the best sounding ITB EQ Iv ever used. I know statements like that are ten to a penny, but I really mean this!

UAD's Precision Limiter is the best for me.ttoz wrote:welcome to kvr in any case killbox!
waves l3 is expensive, but imo the best you can get. comparing it to elephant, finis, k, steinberg mcomp, dspfx, wavearts, nusofting, etc.
basically i have tried every other alternative, and the waves L3 is overall the best to my ear.
1) Precision EQ + Precision Limiter - Universal Audio
2) L3 muti or C4 + L3 limiter only
3) C4 + L2 (more "hard" than L3)
Less is more!

Im saying L3 is not "better" at anything L2 can do.
L3 as broadband does not sound the same as L2.
L3 is just another tool, usefull at some areas.
