If you near a Fry's you can get a 4u CPU rack case wo/ps for $90 bucks. I racked both of my towers 2 weeks ago... Nice!

How deep is it? Audio racks don't tend to have the depth that server racks have.

Also, how exactly does this help you rackmount a G4 powerbook ?

It's about 4" deeper than I would like. It's almost the same size the tower was with rack ears on. I know I've seen a sliding drawer that's made to rack a notebook. The last link I posted will work but I know I've seen the perfect thing and don't seem to be able to find it again. .

Not to pick on anyone here, but if I were part of Muse research, and I kept seeing people writing nasty or disparaging things about the flagship product of the company I was a part of , on the forum of a really cool, free and open site maintained free of charge by that company, I might just get a trifle annoyed.

Nobody could hold it against us for wanting to rack our own gear could they? The title could be better but the thread is tame A Receptor is great if you have the cash, I want .. but for now I can't have one
