Ok - here is a really basic question from a beginner,
I have reactor in cubase SX and when I record what I play I want to retain all the tweaking I do with knobs etc on the synth e.g. lfo envelope etc (automation????). I just cant seem to retain that information and it just plays back the notes without my changes.
please help!
thanks in advance.

I am loathed to answer, given that the usual supsects will chime in with insults and irrelivent comments, after all, you mentioned Cubase. Not a good move here.
I shall take the risk of being the vicitimsed, and attempt to actually help.
If you are tweaking knobs on a VSTi or VST FX as the project plays, and want to 'record' them, then press the W (write) button on the interface. That writes the movements to the automation lanes.
The R button (read) on the GUI allows it to read back the automation you wrote.
Bas.
