It says on the site you have to keep the CD in - you'd think they'd scrap the copy protection altogether?bluedad wrote:well it's a cd image..so I guess it's still the same copy protection.
I suppose one could keep it on a virtual CD disk image - does that work? (if anyone's tried that)

are you sure that it is so,
that you dont need the CD anymore?
Then I would dl it right away.
the insert CD kept me from using it much.
well I think they didnt change it.
and a virtual drive does work, but when Itried it a few years back it disturbed my PC too much. So I removed the virtual drive.
But does someone know a good working virtual drive software for WinXP,and most welcome for free?

It isn't so - you do need the CD (it says so on their site) - try mounting an image

Can't see the free download? Other than a reason refill.
But if you still need the CD anyway it's no good to me. Just thought if it was free now would be a good time to grab it.
Ah well. But maybe I'm just being a bit thick and just can't see the link for looking?

from the support page, so it looks like a virtual drive mounting of the image will be fine.I don't have a CD-Rom Burner or CD-ROM Burning Software.
Then we hope you haven't wasted too much time downloading the ReBirth 2.0.1 CD-ROM image. Just kidding!
There are options for using the CD-ROM image files without burning it to a CD-ROM. Please check the download pages for further instructions on using "Disk Image" or "CD/DVD emulator"
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.
