Either way, it is a nice move on their part. I bought Rebirth and SeerSystems Reality at the same time. At least Rebirth works on a WinXP machine.

Oh man. Reality! I wish they continued with it or ported it to a VST. It felt like a virtual K2000 to me because of all the different synthesis you could mix and match.

I think Daemon tools should do the job.
Don't you have a CD drive in your machine?

I've always had problems with Daemon Tools.

I've NEVER had any problems with daemon tools! I have used it extensively, and it works like a charm for me...

Does anyone still get use out of this? My problem was always lack of stereo panning for the drums.

All the drums on it have stereo panning and you can automate that in the sequencer.

I just wish they would have ported it to VST. I really hate mucking around with Rewire, though I haven't really tried using it since I left Cubase v3.5.

Oh, but I love all those old mods. I really need to rescue a bunch of my old Rebirth stuff.

i think the news is spreading and the servers feeling the strain ... when i started (on a 2Mbit connection) about 2 hours ago i was getting 72 Kb/s ... now its down to 25Kb/s ... still about 35 minutes to go too ...

I recall all of us standing around a Mac and looking at the new version of ReBirth that someone had painfully put together from a cracked ReBirth 1.0 with a resource editor (I think it was the TechnoBox). The words "sue the bastards" were hanging in the air when Marcus said, "Wow! That is really cool! We should put it on our web site!" ... I don't know if it was a stroke of genius, or if something had just caressed his ego in a very pleasurable way, but that phrase was, in a sense, the start of the ReBirth Mod scene.
