Looking for a VIDEO STREAM Capture Tool ...

Hi everybody

I want to record a video Stream of a news flash for personal archive...
but i cant find a progg or anoption that let me capture Visual&Audio-Information from a stream among the common stream players...

but somehow all the folks at the fun-Sites do it, so it has to be possible at least...

Does anybody have a hint ? even a commercial Progg would do, if it is not too expensive...

btw: does anybody know a good freeware Progg to convert Video-Formats ?
